Dear Parents and Friends,
Welcome to our website.
We believe that here, in Al-Bateel, your child will be given every opportunity to grow and learn in a holistic way.
We hear a lot about schools being child-centred. The majority are. In this school, it is our main aim and the criterion on which we can be evaluated.
I'm sure you will agree that the fees are very good value. Feel free to invite family and friends to visit.
I am Denise Kelleher, the Principal. I am from Ireland and was principal (10 years) of a 450 pupil school with 2 autism classes .
John, my husband, is also part of the team. He was also a principal (12 years)-400 pupils and 3 autism classes.
From 1992 to 2003, we taught in The British International School in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. We are delighted to be back in the Middle East, where our two children received a fantastic education. Our son is a lawyer in Bahrain.
We have been working very hard with the support of the Al Bateel management team to ensure that the school can develop from a kindergarten to a primary school. We are hoping to hear good news soon concerning the licence for the primary school and a new building. Keep checking this website!
We will also text you if we have any announcements.
We have a very dedicated and caring team of staff and parents. We are privileged that you have entrusted us with the care and education of your children.
We will continue to be an inclusive, child-centred school and hope to live up to our new motto:
Together we share, we aspire, we achieve
The academic year of 2015/2016 was a great success for all here in Al-Bateel with innumerable exciting and memorable activities and events. Please look at the photo gallery, which I believe, is one of the best ways to appreciate all that is worthwhile in our school.
Thanks to all who have made us feel so welcome in this new, exciting and challenging adventure.
We look forward to working with you, the parents, and God willing, we will enjoy and achieve much together in 2016-2017.
Denise Kelleher (Principal)
